FFIEC (Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council – US)
A US interagency body that issues uniform principles for financial supervision. FFIEC sets AML exam procedures and ensures consistency across agencies. The banking regulators that comprises the FFIEC Council is an interagency body that includes the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the National Credit Union Administration, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
